ふだんはチープカシオ「F‐91W」を愛用している。
しかし夏に海など水辺に行く時は、防水性が高いGショック「DW-5600E」を付けている。
いわゆるスピードモデル。
映画「スピード」で、主役キアヌ・リーブスが付けていたものだ。
国内正規品はDW-5600E‐1。
僕が使っているのは海外並行輸入品のDW-5600E-1VDFで、文字盤の表記が少し違う。
ムーブメントはまったく同じなので、完全に自己満足のレベルだ。
耐衝撃構造（ショックレジスト）で20気圧防水。
ストップウォッチ、タイマー、アラームなど、腕時計として基本的な機能は一通り備えている。
逆にいえば、時計として不必要な機能はない。
スーパーシンプルな造りだ。
Apple Watchなど、スマートウォッチが主流の現在、こんなミニマルな腕時計も悪くない。
こういうゴツい腕時計を付けて街を歩いていると、タフになった気分だ。
少しだけ若返った気にもなる。
